Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge

By | August 16, 2013

One thing I’ve decided to do and follow is Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge.
Im really looking forward to the challenge, the main thing for me is to stay focused while still working my full time job but I am commited to this so should not be a problem.

One thing that is going to help me is the time management daily planner that was provided for me by the quick start challenge, just print one off every week, fill it out with the weeks tasks and take action!

So my blog is built, however, I’m still not 100% happy with the theme, I’ve seen some nice themes but can’t quite make my mind up on it, I am currently using a paid theme called fresh news which I think I will stick with for the time being, I would like to get a nice logo rather than the text logo which I have right now so I will take a look on fiverr.com and see what they come up with.

As I’ve gone through the whole of module one now it is time to start module two tonight.  Im not quite sure what its about yet but I will be blogging about it over the next few days or so, so keep tuned!

    Hi John,
Thanks for sharing your blogging journey.
I agree finding the right theme is hard but I think your blog is looking real good as it is.

Thank you Sylvia, I think I will stick with this theme now which is the Fresh News theme from WooThemes.

I’m glad you like my posts and hope you’ll carry on following my journey!

    Hi John

Well done for getting going, you’re doing an awesome job! 🙂

Stick with Dean and put into practice what you learn in the QSC and you’ll be 100% heading in the right direction. Plus there are a lot of experienced and helpful people in the Facebook group so be sure to ask for help with anything you get stuck with.

Don’t worry about your theme for now. Everything looks great as it is and the most important thing is your content and delivering value. You can tweak things as you go along. I always try to remember what Lee McIntyre says: (in summary) if something isn’t directly related to making you money then leave it. Get the more important things done first and you can always come back to the other stuff later.

Again, great stiff for getting going, John. Now you need to keep up the consistency, and make sure you never give up! I look forward to seeing your progress 🙂

    Kind regards,
    Glenn

    Hi John,

I joined the Quick Start Challenge around 2 months ago, and I have had some success already implementing the strategies from the course on my site, so it’s definitely working if you take massive action and work hard for it.

If you need great themes I suggest investing in a premium theme and the best out there in my opinion are themes by Studiopress, though you need the Genesis Framework installed to actually be able to use any Child themes.

I will follow your journey, good luck 🙂

      Hi Navid,

Thank you for your comment, I am glad to hear of your successes with the program , it is nice to know and hear from someone that this system works, I know you have to work hard at it and that is what I plan to do.

I have decided the keep the theme that I am using currently after a few people saying it looks fine.

Thank you for your following, that will keep me accountable to work hard.

      Best wishes for your success

      John.
